Microsoft Authenticator keeps evolving and getting more and more features, which is is a good thing for all those committed to the Microsoft ecosystem, especially because it's becoming a more advanced password manager overall.
And since Microsoft also aims for any password managing future, the Authenticator app is regularly updated with new capabilities, and also the latest beta build for Android devices brings another welcome feature for users.
Specifically, Android users are now able to sync the passwords they held in Microsoft Edge on their PCs, so theoretically, exactly the same passwords are now available virtually everywhere you go.
For now, however, it's vital that you keep in mind this feature is only available included in the latest beta, so Microsoft just wants to collect additional feedback before letting it go to everyone.
Microsoft Authenticator mobile app
Microsoft itself is insisting on while using Authenticator app in excess of just Microsoft accounts.
"You can also add multiple accounts for your app, including non-Microsoft accounts like LinkedIn, Github, Amazon, Dropbox, Google, Facebook, and more. Since the app supports the industry standard for time based one time passwords (TOTP), you can secure all your online accounts. Simply enable two factor authentication (2FA) on all of your accounts. Then, whenever you register, you'll provide your username and password as always. Finally, you'll go into the one time password (OTP) supplied by the Microsoft Authenticator app," the organization explains in the description of its Android client.
In terms of Microsoft Edge, the integration obviously is useful, as this is the new default browser on Windows 10, and lots of users are already sticking with it on their own PCs.
The brand new Microsoft Edge is dependant on Chromium, the same engine powering Google Chrome, and is now available not just on Windows 10, but also on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, macOS, and Linux.

If the DHCP feature in Windows 10 is causing problems or creating road-blocks, you can disable it pretty easily. Here're the steps to disable DHCP in Windows 10.
In the Windows based pc, the DHCP function is enabled by default. The DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) function accounts for assigning the IP addresses to all the devices on a network. So, when you're connected to a network, like in the home or office, your computer gets its IP address through the DHCP protocol. Among the key options that come with DHCP is being able to assign dynamic IP addresses. i.e, any time you connect or reconnect to some network, you might get a totally different Ip. This dynamic allocation removes the requirement for manually assigning the IP addresses and reduces the likelihood of IP address conflicts. Quite simply, the DHCP functionality is fairly beneficial in day to day situation.
If you want a specific Ip, you need to manually disable DHCP in Windows 10 and then configure Windows to obtain a static IP address. As well as, if the DHCP causes problems in your network connections, like when sharing folders or connecting to and from a server, it is best to disable the DHCP completely. You can manually configure all of the IP settings from the Windows 10 network manager.
In this simple and quick guide, allow me to show the steps to completely disable the DHCP functionality in Windows 10.
Steps to Disable DHCP in Windows 10
You are able to disable DHCP in the settings app in Windows 10. Listed here are the steps to follow along with.
Right-click around the network icon around the taskbar. Select the "Open Network & Internet Settings" option. Within the currently active network screen, click on the "Properties" button underneath the network connection. Here, click on the "Edit" button underneath the "IP Settings / IP Assignment" section. Select "Manual" in the drop-down menu. Turn on the "IPv4" option. Now, fill in the details from the IP address, Subnet prefix length, Gateway, and preferred DNS address. Click on the "Save" button. Close the Settings app. Restart Windows 10.
That's it. You've successfully disabled DHCP in Windows 10. Should you ever want to enable DHCP back, simply follow the same steps but choose the "Automatic (DHCP)" option in steps 5 and disregard the after steps.
Important Notes:
Each network connection features its own DHCP settings. If you want to disable DHCP on all network interfaces, you need to stick to the steps for each one individually. For instance, in case your system has both WiFi and Ethernet, you need to configure DHCP for both of them individually. You can get the Static IP details out of your ISP, network administrator, or in the router config page. For "Subnet prefix length", try "24" or "16". Discover more about subnet prefix length out of this Cisco page. When configuring static IP on the local network, make sure there aren't any duplicates. For preferred DNS, you may either use the DNS supplied by your ISP or public DNS services like Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1). If you are using IPv6 then enable the IPv6 option in step 6 and configure it accordingly.

If you have an IMG file, you can extract it directly within the Windows 10 File Explorer. Listed here are the precise steps you should follow to extract the IMG file in Windows 10.
Though less common as the ISO format, the IMG format is widely used to keep a complete image of a disc. Generally, the IMG format is heavily accustomed to store and distribute software and applications. For instance, the Microsoft Office image file will generally be in IMG format and not in ISO format. In addition to simple programs, the IMG format can also be pretty popular when it comes to system and file backup. If necessary, you may also convert the IMG file for an ISO file too.
Because the IMG format is not as common as the ISO format, some programs might not recognize or support it. In those cases, you have to manually extract the IMG file to file for Explorer and then proceed with your work. Thankfully, Windows 10 makes it really simple to extract an IMG file.
In this simple how-to guide, let me show you the steps to extract an IMG file to a folder in File Explorer in Windows 10.
Extract IMG File in File Explorer
You can extract any IMG file directly in the File Explorer itself. You don't have to use any third-party software.
First, locate the IMG file. Right-click on the IMG file. Select the "Mount" option from the context menu. This course of action will mount the IMG file as a separate drive. It will be on the File Explorer's main screen. Open the newly mounted drive. You can perform that by double-clicking on it. Select all of the files and duplicate them with the "Ctrl + C" shortcut. Go to the folder of your choice and press "Ctrl + V" to paste them.
That's all. Once you press the shortcut, files will be copied to that particular folder. Once the copy process is done, you're finished with extracting the IMG file in Windows 10.

NVIDIA has pushed out a new GeForce graphics driver targeted at a number of its GPU models, namely the 457.51 update, which implements support for its new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti card as well as adds other changes.
Specifically speaking, this update fixes the blue-screen crash seen with Ampere architecture GPUs upon waking from sleep, as well as while playing or browsing videos from the Chrome browser, and resolves corruption for Lenovo Y740 notebooks.
However, NVIDIA's update might still experience problems with Sunset Overdrive, Forza Motorsport 7 and Steam VR games, with freestyle filters while running Vulkan applications, as well as with a few other scenarios as highlighted in the Release Notes below.
Regarding compatibility, besides a supported GPU, your configuration should be managing a 64-bit variant of Microsoft's Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 operating systems. Also, bear in mind that there is a separate package for users who're running Windows 7 64-bit on certain configurations.
As for installation, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for the system, watch for all files necessary to be produced available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for an entire upgrade.
With this in mind, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 457.51, do the installation, and perform a reboot once finished. Also, return with us to remain "updated one minute ago."

However, AMD's update might still experience some problems when playing Metro Exodus, Shadow from the Tomb Raider, Battlefield V, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, as well as other issues as highlighted in the Release Notes below.
In terms of compatibility, the 2 available files are suitable for 64-bit variants of Microsoft's Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems. Also, AMD provides an "Auto-Detect and Install" utility that downloads and applies the correct package for your configuration.
Therefore, if you are considering upgrading to the current version, save the right file for your computer's operating-system, run it, watch for all files required for the installation to be extracted, and follow all instructions shown on the screen for an entire and successful upgrade.
Once finished, make sure to execute a system reboot to permit all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn't requested automatically by the wizard, it might be a good idea to carry it out manually so that any possible problems are avoided.

Apple launched Apple Silicon captured, and also the first M1-powered devices are already up for grabs, so now developers are hard at the office on optimizing their apps to run in it.
Naturally, whenever it comes down to software developers, one can't help but think of the world's biggest software company, Microsoft. And also the big question now that M1-powered products are here's: does Microsoft wish to bring Windows 10 to Apple Silicon?
Apple VP of software engineering Craig Federighi says Microsoft may be the someone to determine if this type of project can go live, as otherwise, Apple Silicon is perfectly capable of handling Windows 10.
So that as it turns out, it really is, like a developer managed recently to install an Insider build of Windows 10 ARM on an M1 Mac and run the operating-system in virtualization mode.
"It's pretty snappy," developer Alexander Graf tweeted.
Microsoft tight-lipped on Windows for M1
Obviously, getting Windows up and running on an M1 Mac isn't really an easy project for beginners, but you can find all the full technical information on this site.
In the meantime, Microsoft has always been completely tight-lipped around the likelihood of seeing Windows going live on Macs, even though Apple itself has clearly launched an invitation in connection with this.
"That's really as much as Microsoft," Federighi said. "We have the core technologies to allow them to do this, to run their ARM version of Windows, which obviously supports x86 user mode applications. But that is a decision Microsoft needs to make, to bring to license that technology for users to operate on these Macs. However the Macs are certainly very able to it."
Time will tell if Windows 10 makes its way officially to M1 chips, but in the meantime, CrossOver and Parallels remain the very best selections for most users available.

Microsoft has recently released Windows 10 October 2020 Update, or Windows 10 version 20H2, which particular update appears to be gaining ground quite fast, according to new data.
AdDuplex claims Windows 10 October 2020 Update has already been running on 8.8 percent from the Windows 10 devices available, that makes it the 3rd most-used form of the operating system currently out there.
Windows 10 May 2020 Update continues to be the leading version out there with a share of 37.6 %, as the runner-up is the November 2019 Update with 36.4 %.
The Windows Insider program can also be running well, with 0.3 percent of all devices currently on preview builds that are shipped included in the Dev, Beta, and Release Preview channels.
What's next for Windows 10?
With version 20H2 already live, Microsoft can now focus on what's next for Windows 10, and according to sources familiar with the company's plans, there'll be lots of surprises next year.
First of all, we should expect two feature updates, much like before, only that their release dates will be inverted.
Quite simply, the large update that typically lands in the spring is now likely to go live in the autumn, while the small service pack-like release due in October or November will launch in the first part of the year.
Therefore the next Windows 10 feature update coming to users in the spring will also be a small release using the concentrate on under the hood improvements and less on new features.
Microsoft is yet to verify this timing, however the dates certainly make sense, especially since the spring is anticipated also to bring us the new Windows 10X. At first, this OS version will just run on single-screen devices, with the company to then bring it to dual-screen models when this form factor is ready,

Internet Explorer 11 lets you disable JavaScript for better security. Listed here are the precise steps to completely disable JavaScript in Ie.
At this point in time, Ie is outdated and generally not too good in terms of performance, security, or features. You will find much better alternative browsers such as the new Edge, Chrome, or Firefox for the day to day browsing tasks. Actually, you may also Enable Ie mode in Edge. That being said, there can be situations where you are forced to use Ie. This is also true in the case of old websites or services specifically designed for Ie, office environments, etc.
While you have to use Internet Explorer from time to time, you don't have to put yourself at risk. To reduce the safety concerns and become safe while using the Ie, you are able to disable JavaScript. Once disabled, some interactive functions of some websites may not work. However, that really should not be an issue since many websites designed for Internet Explorer works fine without JavaScript.
So, with no delay, allow me to demonstrate the steps to completely disable JavaScript in Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 10.
Steps to Disable JavaScript in Internet Explorer
Fundamental essentials steps you should follow to fully switch off JavaScript in Ie. The steps shown below are for IE 11 and will also operate in Windows 8, 8.1, and 7.
First, open the web Explorer browser. You can do that by looking it up within the Start menu. Now, click on the "Settings" icon. You will notice it as a gear icon towards the top-right corner. Select "Internet Options" from the list. Here, go to the "Security" tab. Now, click on the "Custom Level" button under "Security Level with this Zone" section. Scroll down and discover the "Scripting" section. Here, choose the "Disabled" option under "Active Scripting". Click the "Ok" button to save changes. Click "Yes" to verify the alterations. In the primary window, click "Apply" and "Ok" buttons. Finally, restart the Internet Explorer browser.
That's it. With that, you have completely disabled the JavaScript in Internet Explorer. From now on, whenever you go to a website in the Intenet Explorer, it won't be able to load any JavaScript.
As mentioned before, most modern websites and services specifically designed for IE should be able to function without JavaScript, albeit with reduced functionality. For example, if your form or widget on a webpage requires JavaScript, it many not work.
To allow JavaScript in Ie, visit "Settings → Internet Options → Security → Custom Level", and select "Enabled" under "Active Scripting".
That is all.

We all know what went down with Windows 10 Mobile, and while the woking platform is dead already, the existing Windows phones are still worthy tools you can use for any series of experiments.
One developer who passes the @imbushuo on Twitter, for instance, uses a Lumia 950 XL for various Windows projects, and his latest includes running Photoshop cs4 on this Windows phone.
And a screenshot he published on Twitter last week shows this is really possible, with panoramic mode also offered, and this helps make the software look pretty good around the large screen available on the Lumia 950 XL.
Is it usable? I really doubt it, especially because dealing with advanced software like Adobe Photoshop needs a large screen that enables for refinements within the smallest areas.
But exactly how is this possible after all?
It's all because of Windows 10 ARM, a practical system that Microsoft has released for ARM-based devices. And given Adobe has learned that ARM is worth investing in (after Apple officially announced Apple Silicon earlier this year), a beta form of Photoshop with this processor is now readily available for download.
Lumia 950 XL posseses an ARM chip, and therefore it can run Windows 10 ARM with a number of tweaks. What this means is that whoever installs this OS version on their own Windows phones can then run any ARM-optimized application, including this recently-released beta of Photoshop.
Obviously, case too little, too late, so even if Photoshop has become on the Lumia 950 XL, it doesn't mean anything for that Windows 10 Mobile platform in general. It's a test and absolutely nothing more, as Microsoft's mobile operating-system is dead and won't be returning in the near future.
